Brooklin, a rural community in the Durham region just minutes north of Whitby, even has several schools in the community, three public and three Cathplic to be exact.

Even Courtice, which is located in the eastern part of the Durham Region with one of the smaller populations, is served by its own school district -- Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board.
