Brooklin, a rural community in the Durham region just minutes north of Whitby, even has several schools in the community, three public and three Cathplic to be exact.

The award-winning and prestigious Montessori chain of private schools can also be found in the Durham Region, like the Blaisdale Montessori School in Pickering.

Even Courtice, which is located in the eastern part of the Durham Region with one of the smaller populations, is served by its own school district -- Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board. There’s five elementary schools here and one secondary school, more than enough and easily located for families living in any neighbourhood in Courtice.
